Summer Project

So i found my summer projects abandoned in the draw at uni... they never got seen so i thought i'd post them up :)

The first was to produce a piece of work that emulates one artist, and then another that combines two. I chose to combine Shaun Tan's style with Edward Gorey's in this piece....

It is a pencil drawing with two layers of acetate with pen lines. The second image is with just the first layer of pen.

This piece was my attempt at emulating Shaun Tan's style... a story board about my cat going for a drink and getting surprised by a droplet of water... cats are easily scared.

My second summer project was to record 12 hours of a day and then produce a final piece based on this. I produced 12 small images from a day that i spent at Hammerton zoo with my boyfriend, this is a few of them...

They were pinned into a cork board and made to look like photographs.
